Dr. Praneet Mylavarapu, MD

Praneet Mylavarapu is an incoming cardiology fellow at UCSD. He is currently completing a M.S. in Artificial Intelligence at Northwestern University while also serving as a HeartShare research fellow at the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute. Previously, he finished his B.S. in Economics at The Wharton School and medical school and internal medicine training at UCSD. His research interests are in Heart Failure, Electrophysiology, Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging, and the use of machine learning to improve the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. He is currently working on applying these principles to the early identification of disease from wearable devices, improvement of the electronic medical record workflow, and medical knowledge curation. He is also interested in medical education and gamification to supplement learning (Clinicle Game). When he isn't thinking about medicine, he loves playing tennis and discovering new things to do in San Diego with his wife.
